Senior Database AdministratorDescription CLGT Solutions, LLC dba CLOVEHITCH is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small mission-focused business that provides professional solutions in the areas of intelligence, financial management, linguistics and administrative functions.CLOVEHITCH is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, optimize, document, and operate data-management capabilities for a classified intelligence mission.Due to federal contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens.Supervisory Responsibilities:- None. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a procedure manual and update the source-registry standard operating procedure manual as directed.
- Design, implement, and operate data-management systems that satisfy authorized intelligence mission needs.
- Design storage, access, use, integration, and management approaches across applicable data regimes and systems.
- Partner with data users to define and implement optimal data architectures, structures, and systems.
- Plan, design, monitor, and optimize throughput, query performance, scalability, capacity, and responsiveness.
- Support selection, configuration, and effective use of approved backend database technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, and high-performance computing environments.
- Optimize the end-to-end data pipeline for content, volume, extract-transform-load processing, periodicity, and responsiveness.
- Document changes, procedures, status, performance, risks, decisions, corrective actions, and maintenance activity for Government review.
Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:- At least five years of experience programming, operating, and maintaining databases.
- At least five years of experience performing quantitative data analysis.
- Workflow certification and/or demonstrated experience with cloud solutions, database solutions, and automation.
Education and Other Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent education, training, and work experience that demonstrates the required competence.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to satisfy all clearance, SCI, polygraph, nondisclosure, training, and Government access requirements; must hold a final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access.
- Ability to work onsite in the Washington, DC National Capital Region during standard Government core business hours; this position does not support telework.
Preferred Qualifications:- Certifications or formal education in Java, Oracle, Tableau, biometrics, SQL, NoSQL, or high-performance computing.
- Experience with secure ETL pipelines, data modeling, performance tuning, backup/restore, audit logging, and continuity planning.
- Experience writing clear technical procedure manuals and standard operating procedures for classified mission systems.
Physical DemandsPrimarily sedentary work performed in an office environment; requires extended periods of sitting and computer use, occasional standing and walking, and the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds.Position Environment, Type & Hours of WorkFull-time position, contingent on executed award, authorization to proceed, and Government access approval. This is an optional, non-key personnel position of up to 1 FTE that will be staffed only if the corresponding labor CLIN is exercised and funded. Work is performed onsite at Government facilities in the Washington, DC National Capital Region (no telework), during a standard 40-hour workweek within Government core business hours.TravelMinimal travel is expected (less than 10%), primarily local travel within the National Capital Region as required to support Government coordination.CLOVEHITCH is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
