Description
CLGT Solutions, LLC dba CLOVEHITCH is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused upon providing professional solutions in the areas of training and talent acquisition.

CLOVEHITCH is currently seeking Pashto Dari Linguists who will perform language-related services including interpretation, translation, and transcriptions services to support the Department of State’s Afghanistan Affairs Unit. These positions are located in Germany.

Principal Duties & Required Skills

  • Interpret between Dari, English, and Pashto, so that both the USG representatives and Afghan Guests clearly understand the intended meaning of the instructions, questions, and overall conversation.
  • Aid the Afghan Guests with communication between medical providers and Panel Physicians for IV and SIV medical exams.
  • Assist with the arrival of Afghan Guests at the airports or processing center, interpreting the languages in both directions so that the legal or official government context of the conversions with immigration officials and/or local law enforcement are clearly understood by the Afghan Guests.
  • Provide any other services and duties that are reasonably related to the position for the Client.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Must possess active work visa for Germany.
  • Must be fluent in Pashto, Dari, and English.
  • Must be knowledgeable of culture, economic, geopolitical, and military issues of Afghanistan and other countries in the surrounding region.
  • Must have knowledge of medical terminology in all languages, such as vocabulary related to illnesses, family medical history, shot/vaccination records, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of legal terminology in all languages, such as vocabulary related to immigration processing.
  • Must have basic typing skills and be familiar with MS Office.
  • Must be willing to go through basic background screening.


Work Environment
These positions will require the willingness and ability to live and work abroad.

Physical Demands
This position may require frequent walking, standing, speaking, or sitting and typing. 

This position will require the willingness and ability to be screened medically for deployment based upon the Department of State’s policies and procedures regarding medical requirements. Must be capable of moderate physical exertion to include the ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds, be able to conduct travel, and work within the Platform’s environment with a limited support infrastructure.

May work in extreme weather conditions.

Position Type & Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with operations occurring 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Shift work will be required. A standard week will consist of 5 workdays, averaging 8 hours each.

This position will require travel.
