CLOVEHITCH is seeking an Action Officer (AO) to support the successful execution of daily business operations by directing and overseeing the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks. AOs provide expertise regarding organizational functions and processes as well as support the organization in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures. AOs manage the action tracking system and work closely with Front Office groups, subordinate Offices, and program offices. AOs establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders of the offices both internally and externally. This position is contingent upon contract award.Supervisory Responsibilities:Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Author, consolidate, coordinate and edit executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with organizational strategic objectives; apply an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs and procedures affecting the NRO
- Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers and other materials based on analysis of complex policy issues and documents.
- Ensure critical information is disseminated to internal and external agencies including the Office of Secretary of Defense, Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and mission partner equivalent offices
- Manage NRO Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions for supported office to include:
- Performing initial administrative and technical assessment of all TIER actions to assign and coordinate the action item response at the highest organizational level practicable
- Collecting, collating and preparing polished, timely, and accurate Directorate responses
- Briefing and preparing leadership, and providing technical support during action item reviews
- Reporting status updates on new, pending, and late actions
- Manage and execute the action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for user requirements.
- Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions.
Required Skills and Abilities:- Knowledge of federal acquisition requirements, DoD and IC budget & finance, and National Security policy
- Knowledge of systems engineering, project or program management
- Ability to understand and write in systems engineering technical language
- Knowledge of NRO, IC, and DoD organizational structure, mission, vision, culture, values, philosophy and operating principles
- Experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational level
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD and IC issues, policies, programs and procedures affecting the NRO and its mission
- Advanced proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and standard computer applications
- Skill to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
- Ability to foster solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
- Strong interpersonal skills
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8 years of experience
- Due to federal contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens who have an active TS/SCI clearance
